Tramadol HCl TDL®
Composition:
Each TDL capsule contains 50mg tramadol hydrochloride.
Each ampoule of TDL 2mL solution for injection contains 100mg tramadol hyrochloride
Indications:
Moderate to severe acute and chronic pain diagnostic procedures and surgery.
Dosage:
The dosage depends of the intensity of pain and sensitivity of the individual patient.
- TDL capsules: 1-2 capsules two to three times day is usually sufficient.
- TDL ampoules: The usual doses are 50 to 100mg by injection.
The average daily dosage is 1-2 ampoules.
If satisfactory pain relief is not obtained within 30 to 60 minutes of the administration of 50mg tramadol HCl, a second dose of 50mg may be given or as prescribed by the physician.
In general, a daily dosage of 400mg tramadol HCl should not be exceeded.
In impaired renal and hepatic function, it may be necessary to adjust the dosage intervals.
Precaution:
Even when administered according to instructions, tramadol HCl may affect the reaction ability of the patient to such an extent that his capacity to drive or operate machines may be impaired.
Interactions with Other Drugs:
Concomitant use of tramadol HCl with centrally-acting drugs will potentiate its effect. Tramadol HCl should not be combined with MAO inhibitors.
Caution:
Foods, Drugs, Devices and Cosmetics Act prohibits dispensing without prescription.
